A while ago I bought a notebook from work because I like it ( I have a thing about notebooks, don’t judge me) I’ve decided that I will use it as a “symptom logbook” where I write down anything out of the ordinary that happens that could be considered a symptom of a mental illness. I’m hoping it will help psychiatrists diagnose my Mystery Mental Illness since I’m pretty sure there is one.
Symptoms to log include;
- Suicidal Ideation
- Self harming beyond using an elastic band (e.g. scratching, punching)
- Emotion Explosion
- Intense feelings of anger or anxiety
- Memory loss
- Spacing out/detachment from reality
- Hyperactivity (not brought on by coffee)
Over the past couple of days I have had suicidal ideation which is why I’m at too high risk to have CBT and I have noticed that sometimes I feel very detached from the world my body is doing all the work automatically while my brain seems to be elsewhere.
I really don’t know what’s been going on with my brain lately but hopefully I will have it figured out soon.
